Jeanne Susplugas is exhibiting in the group exhibition Anniversarium Stress, curated by Caroline Cournède at MABA from April 23 to July 19, 2026.
The group exhibition Anniversarium Stress, through a wide range of media including drawing, painting, video, sculpture, and installation, conveyed the ambivalence of birthdays — suspended between the joy of celebration and the melancholy of passing time — and served as a prelude to the Fondation des Artistes’ Grand Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Bringing together a selection of invited artists, the exhibition playfully imagined what a slightly dysfunctional party might look like, where the various clichés associated with birthdays were enacted and reenacted: decorations, guests, cake, candles, controlled or uncontrolled intoxication, fireworks, music, and dance… all underscored by an underlying reflection on time.
