Michel Mouffe exhibited in the the 9th Biennial for contemporary art (BIENNALE9) titled Oh les beaux jours! curated by Angel Vergara and Joël Benzakin in the public space of Louvain-la-Neuve.
The subtitle Pour une esthétique des moyens disponibles reminds us that, beyond the material contingencies often associated with contemporary creation, the modeling of practices and their economic domestication, we need to rethink our aesthetic models, to affirm once again that art is above all a "gesture of pure loss", an unquantifiable expenditure, a disinterested exchange.
