The Friends of Musée L acquired Michel Mouffe’s monumental work Les larmes de Saint Pierre to be definitively displayed at Musée L in Louvain-la-Neuve.
Seduced by the powerful aesthetics of Michel Mouffe's project, which blends perfectly with the concrete architecture designed by André Jacqmain, the Friends association decided to finance the work so that it could be reinstalled permanently. The Friends of Musée L chose to donate this work to the UCLouvain museum, which bears witness to a contemporary artist's reflection on the future of humanity. Michel Mouffe defines this work as a painting, since we see it head-on... It will evolve over time, it's a living work. I'll make the first inscriptions in rust casting, and it's time that will determine how the surface will interact and live. It's like a mental clock that relates to the idea of the Anthropocene. Everyone thinks the world is going to change, but the world isn't going to change, it's already changed.
