The Maison des Arts presents an exhibition on the theme of ritual. Ritual is not understood here in the religious sense, even if a metaphysical dimension may be associated with it, but in the repetition of actions invested with a particular meaning and inscribed in time.
This exhibition questions artistic practices associated with protocols. Why do certain visual artists seek to "redo", to repeat the same gesture or motif? When and why do artistic rituals begin, and where do they end?
