Two works by Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil have entered the collection of The Musée National d’Art Moderne - Centre Pompidou.

Aubusson tapestry enhanced with India ink and gold gouache.

From the series Hope It Was Worth It, which brings together twelve Aubusson tapestries dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Each tapestry is linked to a historical event that occurred during its time of weaving. The starry skies corresponding to these events are digitally reconstructed and woven into the tapestries by a craftswoman, adding a contemporary dimension to this traditional art form.

From the series The Day Before_Star System, this work depicts, in IGN map format, the night sky as it appeared on the eve of an airstrike targeting civilian populations, here the September 11 2001 attack in New York City.
