RENAUD AUGUSTE-DORMEUIL | BIENNALE DE LYON: SOLO EXHIBITION

20 September 2017 - 7 January 2018

Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil presented I Will Keep a Light Burning (2011) at the 14th Biennale de Lyon in 2017.

Between what we know and what we think we know, between memory and oblivion, Renaud Auguste-Dormeuil is interested in communication technologies as a critical reflection on their use. Starting with the problem of the destruction and fabrication of images, the artist explores different temporalities, all of which have to do with the question of point of view: from where do we see things, and at what moment? For the Biennale, in the form of a performance, I Will Keep a Light Burning gives shape to the sky lines of tomorrow. As the evening progresses, candles are lit, gradually creating a constellation of the future, in an immense circle materializing the invisible.
