In La Libre, Jean-Marc Bodson writes on the exhibition Gordon Matta-Clark.

 

Valérie Bach, director of the Patinoire Royale, pointed out that there are a lot of photographs in the exhibition by American artist Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978) that she is presenting in the Nave of her gallery. It's true that prints - mainly in black and white - are in the majority, but for all that, much more than an exhibition "of" photography, this is in fact - in part and incidentally - an exhibition "about" photography. More precisely, a glimpse at the moment when, at the turn of the 1960s-1970s, photography became an integral part of the visual arts, increasingly open to multidisciplinary creation.
