Today, La Patinoire Royale Bach launches its tenth season with a major exhibition devoted to Gordon Matta Clark. The iconic American artist-photographer, who died at the age of 35, was a major figure on the New York art scene of the 1970s.
Gordon Matta Clark was known for his ephemeral interventions in buildings slated for demolition: cutting houses in half, removing sections of floor, and creating monumental sculptures on the scale of the buildings.
