By embracing ecofeminism and the goddess figure, intertwining women's rights with nature preservation, Anderson’s “Digital Goddesses” emerge as contemporary divinities rooted in 1970s feminist Goddess Art. This art evolved in the 1980s and 1990s to reflect ecological themes, highlighting the environmental crisis and women reclaiming spiritual power.
