Hannah De Corte participated in the group exhibition De Fils ou de Fibres at CAC Meymac.
Many artists today are re-appropriating, exploring or hijacking craft techniques long left aside: from yarn and weaving to knitting, patchwork and embroidery. The use of textiles extends far beyond the feminine world with which they have traditionally been associated. These experiments have led to an abundance of artistic practices, from protean installations to objects.
The exhibition brings together works by artists who use thread, rope or twine as a material, and even iron or plastic wire, as long as these are shaped, knotted or woven, as well as canvas, voile, felt... All on the five levels of the abbey.
