Elsa Guillaume has been awarded a maritime residency.
The Villa Albertine is reflecting on the formats of artistic mobility and is joining forces with MARFRET, a French maritime freight transport company, and the Musée national de la Marine, to activate a maritime line dedicated to artists and writers across the Atlantic and Pacific. On the outbound leg, the Atlantic-Pacific Artists Line connects Le Havre to Papeete and Nouméa via the USA (New York), Jamaica (Kingston) and the Panama Canal in five weeks; on the return leg, Papeete and Nouméa will be linked to Le Havre via Australia, New Zealand, Panama, the USA (Philadelphia) and Northern European ports, in seven weeks. A variety of creative viewpoints will have the opportunity to observe the contemporary world from the bridge of a container ship, the MARIUS.
