Yes, says Jonas Moënne. The French-Belgian artist teaches at the academy in Anderlecht, and was one of the three Brussels laureates for the Art Prize awarded at Ceramic Brussels. “The people who take my classes are looking for some form of relaxation. Ceramics forces the artist to go slowly, it gives meaning to time. I am especially inspired by the power of fire. I mix materials together and the flame unites them into a new object. I find it fascinating: that transition from nature to culture.”
