Joao Freitas is the recipient of a residency for artistic experimentation at TAMAT, the Museum of Tapestry and Textile Arts of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
Recherches is a 1-year residency program for a selection of 4 artists and/or creatives. It is designed to support a research and experimentation project related to textile arts and/or the textile heritage conserved by TAMAT.
Centered on experimentation as a creative process, the program encourages initiation, research and innovation. It supports the decompartmentalization of artistic practices and disciplines, while encouraging the discovery and appropriation of TAMAT's resources.
